Another Dynamo/UGA swimmer from Atlanta has (unofficially) made the Olympic team! Gunnar Bentz of UGA finished 5th in the 200 meter freestyle, making him eligible for the 4x200m freestyle relay in Rio. While only 4 swimmers swim in the relay, the United States team typically takes the top 6 finishers in the 100m and 200m freestyle so that a separate team can qualify in the prelims at the Olympics, giving the stronger athletes time to rest for finals. His place on the team will be finalized at the conclusion of the Olympic Trials, but historically the 5th and 6th place finishers have always made the Olympic team. Check out the race video here (it's in the article): http://olympics.nbcsports.com/2016/06/28/ryan-lochte-200-freestyle-trials/
